helllllloooo!!! :D

first and foremost, thank you people for wishing me happy birthday!! hehe. i appreciate it alot. :D im feeling seventeen. haha.

okay, my cousin's wedding was a SUCCESS!! wow. it's so grand. i mean the celebrations, the decorations and of course, the foooooood!!!!! i'll blog about it later. :)

so on friday, i went to work. i reached there on the dot, at 5pm sharp. i waited for the supervisor to give me the t-shirt and apron, and i went to change. after that, he showed me around the kitchen. and i realised something, Swensen's kitchen tiles and Mcdonalds kitchen tiles are the same!!!! is it the recommended tiles to use for a F&B outlet? heh. so after the "tour", i was at the outstation. i was being stationed there. first day was a good experience for me cause i learnt the DO's and DON'Ts. aiyo. so many pantang larang. hehe. ended work at 11.30pm, cause i had to do closing. i trained home and reached home at 1230am. ate and off i went to Lalaland. hehe. :)

as i said earlier, my cousin's wedding was a huge success. so, the event went like this. yesterday, i woke up as early as 8am cause all of us had to be there by 11am. i bathed and got ready to go out. my family, excluding my brother (cause he was still asleeeeep!!! so unfair!), cabbed to Punggol. we arrived around 1015am and soon after that, the guest from the male side came into the house, for the nikah. as i stood there watching, i can feel the excitement. haha. the tok kadi said what's needed to be said and then, they are legally married!!! yay! :D

sooo, the cousins and my sister went down cause we had to help out with the celebartion/ceremony. we had to be the kendarats. heh. and we are named the Black Beauties. why? because all of us are dressed in black. haha. it was to so-called standardized. we helped out in clearing the tables for the others to use. so, we carried the used plates to the washing area. so basically, our job was to just carry plates. heh. and you know, i wanted to karaoke yesterday. argh! but when i wanted to do so, the segment was already over. :( i don't know why but i had the urge to do it. hehe. and you know what, the newly-wed sang for the guests! haha. usually, it was the guests who sang for them and not the other way around. that was the first time in my life that i encountered such newly-weds.

and that night, there was a wedding dinner! it was sooo cool lah! the guests were seated and then, there were performances and everything. there was Dikir Barat and Malay dance. and oh yah, just as the bride and groom came in, they had to pass through the ark of swords or whatever you called that. you see, my cousin's husband was the Captain of the Army. so yeah, i think it was a procedure that if the captain gets married, they would have to pass through the ark of swords. the groom was dressed in the Captain uniform and his fellow buddies were there too to do the ark of swords. and oh yes, they were dressed smartly too!

so basically, before they get to pass through the ark of swords, they would have to do things as ordered by the DJ. haha. the first obstacle was that the groom had to sing a line from any song that he knew to the bride. he sang, "Kaulah segalanya untuk ku....." direct translation, "You are everything to me......" haha. it was soooo sweet lar. okay, then the next obstacle was, the groom had to say I Love You in 5 languages. haha. soooo gerek! the last obstacle was my favourite! haha. the groom had to carry the bride up the stairs to the stage to the pelamin!! haha. it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo romantic, you know!! hahahaha. it was the best wedding ever. never in my life did i get to be involved/be a part of such wedding. the groom was very sporting. hehe. another addition to my father's side. heh.

and there were caucasians present for the wedding reception/dinner. they were my cousin's friends/colleagues. then the newly weds had to answer a question each given by the DJ. the groom had to name a fruit that best describe her. he said, Strawberry. the reason that he gave was that the strawberry is a nice-looking fruit and it is sweet in the inside. and when you looked at it, you see the shape and the taste is really sweet. awwwwwwwww.... so sweeeeeet right!!!!

then the bride was given a question. she had to tell to the guest, which moment was the greatest for her. she said, the moment when he proposed. then she went on to describe how he did it. so, what he did was that, on a particular day, they were out shopping for a ring. when my cousin sets eye on one particular ring, he said, "Let's not buy first." then at night, he drove her up to Mt. Faber. when they stopped, he asked her to search for a sweet inside a plastic bag. she said that he knew her curiosity nature, he purposely placed the box of ring inside it. and when she said, "Eh, there's something inside this bag." the guy said, "Well, take it out then." and then, there's the ring. awwwww. it was really sweet of him to come up with such idea. when my cousin finished the story, all the guests went "Awwwwwwww......" Really! it was one of those unforgettable moment for me. i won't forget such a wedding. all in all, it was one of a kind wedding and the best wedding ever!!!! and not to forget, my cousin looked stunning! the couple was bagaikan pinang dibelah dua. you know, sometimes i wonder, how my wedding would be like. if i can, i would like my wedding to be one of a kind. :D

and yes, we did took pictures!! haha. when i get them, i'll upload them here. there's tons and tons of photos you see. so it might take a few days. heh. as for now, i only have a few pictures with me. so, i'll just upload those that i have. :) i have to get ready to go to work now.
