heys.

today, i didn't go school cause i had my eyes checked. there seems to be white spots in my right eye. no wonder it's been red. and im on MC untill fri. so i won't be in school for the rest of the week. dreads. =(. my homework will sure be piling up. hmph. so, let me tell you the whole story aites?

early in the morning, i was indecisive cause i cannot decide whether or not i should go to school. part of me wanted to go but if i go, i would not find out what's the cause for the white spots in my right eye. then, there's the other part of me who urge me not to go so that i'll be able to know the problem. and so, i chose to listen to my other self, that is to not go to school. so, i got up, bathed and went to woodlands polyclinic with Mommy. it was 8+ in the morning and there were already many people. no wonder they say s'poreans are kiasu. =)

mommy and me took the queue number and waited in the waiting area. i was half-awake and my eyes keep wanting to close. and finally, it was my turn. the doctor asked me to look straight and said that i should go to the eye specialist straightaway. she said that this kind of thing cannot be delayed. after my check-up, it was mommy's turn. she said that she felt giddy for a few days. doctor said that mommy had a few health problems. i don't think i have to mention them here.

anyways, the appointment was at 3:30pm. i can't see things clearly so i kep squinting. so hard. after taking the queue number, have to wait again. i was playing with my phone when i heard my name being called. "MDM nursakinah!" i haven't even get married yet and they called me MDM. they thought that mommy was me. get it? anyways, then had my vision tested. they had me seated 3 feet away from the wall where they showed the alphabets and numbers. i didnt bring my specs and i didnt wear my contacts. so can't see anything. the doc smiled and asked me to proceed to the the next room. i don't know what's the room called.

in the room, i had to put my chin on the "chin platform". i don't know the real name of that thing. then, the doc shone the bright light directly into my eyes. my god, it was painful. i kept wanting to close my eyes but she insisted that i looked straight. and the bright light was being shone into my right eye for around 1 min. seriously sey, it was very painful. during the whole 1 min, i don't think that i had my eyes open for more than 10 secs. evry 10 secs, i will be blinking. then, she did the whole thing on my left eye. then, she went back to the right, then to the left again. she went back and forth many times. then she said that i was lucky the white spots was not in the pupil. if not, i would be permanently blind in the right eye. whoa.

then, she told the nurse to get some tools. she said that she wanted to scrape off the white spots in my eye. SCRAPE OFF??!! i was already shocked when she said that. lucky for me, it didn't happened cause another doctor said that wasn't necessary. so, she prescribed me some eye drops which should be taken 4 times a day . there are 2 bottkes of eye drops being given to me. then, this fri i have another appointment at 8 in the morning. =(

anyways, an advice to all those who are wearing lenses,

IF YOU EXPERIENCE SOME IRRITATION IN THE EYES, PLEASE DO NOT WEAR YOUR LENSES FOR A FEW DAYS. AND IF YOU ARE WEARING THE MONTHLY TYPE, PLEASE BE ON SCHEDULE AND DO NOT WEAR THE LENSES FOR OVER THIER LIFESPAN. =)
